Springboard Marketing has been awarded a 2011 Communicator Award of Distinction from the International Academy of the Visual Arts for its online marketing work for YMCA of the Suncoast. The YMCA project included development of a new website and social media presence, both of which incorporated the recently released YMCA of the USA national branding.
As part of website development, Springboard created a searchable database of the association’s programs that allows users to find classes easily across 12 branch locations. It also introduced social media strategies and set up pages on popular platforms to help the organization’s visibility, reach and communication within the community. In addition, Springboard provided social media training to representatives from each branch.
The new YMCA of the Suncoast website was recognized by YMCA of the USA as an outstanding example of brand integration. YMCA of the Suncoast was invited to present the website to other YMCAs at a national event in Chicago. In addition, YMCA of the Suncoast’s Facebook page grew from 1,200 to over 2,000 fans within the first 30 days of the new launch. The award-winning site can be seen at www.ymcasuncoast.org.
Thousands of entries were received for the 2011 Communicator Awards, which honors the creative excellence for communications professionals. The competition is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 550+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts. It recognizes the best work in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and design for print, video, interactive and audio.

Congratulations on your award, communiction whether on or offline is the key to business success.
